Pharmaceutics Department

Pharmaceutics is a branch of Pharmacy which deals with technological aspects of pharmacy field. It includes studying techniques of manufacture of medicinal preparations on small scale, large scale, dispensing of medicines at dispensary level etc. The student is made well conversant with machineries required along with the technique. The student, in short, becomes capable of preparing different formulations himself viz., TABLETS, CAPSULES, INJECTABLES, OINTMENTS, LIQUIDS, etc. Our college has expert staff, well equipped laboratories in Pharmaceutics Department.

Pharmaceutical Chemistry Department

Pharmaceutical Chemistry is a branch of Pharmacy which deals with chemical aspects of drugs. It includes studying chemistry of medicines i.e. physical, organic, inorganic aspects of raw materials as well as finished preparations. The student is made well conversant with apparatus along with the technique required for that. The student, becomes capable of understanding chemistry if drugs, additives, its analysis, its quality control, its stability, etc. which enable the pharmacist to assure best quality formulations to the world. More importantly, the student becomes capable of synthesizing Medicinal Chemical Compounds. Our college has expert staff. Well enquired laboratories in Pharmaceutical Chemistry Department

Pharmacology Department

Pharmacology is a branch of Pharmacy which studies effects of drugs in human body. It includes studying pharmacology of medicines i.e. of raw materials as well as finished preparations. The student has to study the anatomy & physiology of human body, effect of drugs, additives in the anatomy & physiology of human body, which also includes study of toxic effects, adverse drug reactions, decision regarding dosage of drugs. The student, in short, becomes capable of understanding pharmacology of drugs, additives, its bio analysis, therapeutic stability etc., which enables the pharmacist to assure safe, nontoxic best quality formulations to the world. Our college has expert staff, well equipped laboratories in Pharmacology Department.

Pharmacognosy Department

Pharmacognosy is a branch of Pharmacy which studies crude drugs. T includes studying drugs of plant & mineral origin medicines i.e. of raw materials as well as finished preparations. The student has to study the morphology of drugs in natural form as well as in powdered form. The study also includes microscopic study. The student, in short becomes capable of identifying crude drugs, its adulterants etc. which enables the pharmacist to assure authentic, unadulterated, safe, nontoxic best quality crude drugs supply to the industry.
